Internship
Internship programme
What does internship mean?
When our medical students complete their attachments in different departments of clinical rotations and after completing the different exams, they would get promoted to internship based on the decision of the academic commission. Their results and documents will be sent to the Ministry of health for approval. The Ministry of health will register them and give them a license to practice as an intern.
According to our curriculum, the interns will attach to the major and minor clinical departments in our hospital, Myungsung Christian Medical Center (MCMC) or commonly called Korea Hospital. They work under close supervision of their clinical instructors which are locally and internationally well known. The diversity of patients, the highest standard of care given, the smooth relationship with other health practioners and the availability of state of the art instruments will make Korea hospital the best institution to practice medicine as an intern. The students get evaluation and feedback for their stay in the different departments. They also take a written exam at the end of each attachment. Interns are required to do a research paper either independently or in groups and they must defend their thesis to successfully finish their internship programme.
