White Coat Ceremony 2020 Class of 2019
This ceremony is part of the initiation of new medical students; it is a time when they are “cloaked” with their first white coat. This ritual, held in the presence of faculty, administration, and family members, helps students become aware of their responsibilities as healers and servant leaders from the beginning of their training.
The ceremony encourages them to accept the obligations inherent in their profession: to be excellent doctors; to be compassionate; to lead lives of uprightness and honor; and to serve Christ as servant leaders. Today’s eighth annual ceremony is a valued tradition here at MMC..
